Experience the Magic of Winterlit at Mountsberg Conservation Area
Winter evenings just got a whole lot brighter with Winterlit, hosted at Mountsberg Conservation Area. This award-winning outdoor light display transforms the woods into a glowing wonderland, blending the beauty of nature with stunning, illuminated art installations. Whether you're looking for a whimsical winter escape or a unique date night, Winterlit has something for everyone to enjoy.
A Sparkling Winter Adventure
The event features two dazzling trails, The Illuminated Sugar Bush and The Winterlit Trail. Each trail is approximately 1 km, offering the perfect stroll through twinkling trees and captivating, eco-friendly art pieces created entirely from recycled and upcycled materials.
Along the way, warm up with a hot drink at one of the Fireside Lounges, swap a book in the charming Book Nook Cabin, or play board games with loved ones. You can even craft your own piece of art by painting a wooden heart to add to their breathtaking LOVE display. Bonus? Your contribution helps fund the care of Mountsberg’s farm animals, raptors, and snakes.

Sustainability at the Heart of Winterlit
Conservation Halton takes pride in making Winterlit a sustainable event. All lighting is energy-efficient LED, and many of the wood elements you’ll see are created from ash trees removed to manage the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive species. Even the art installations are crafted by local artists using recycled materials. Winterlit stands out as a reminder that we can enjoy breathtaking experiences while respecting nature.
